Aaron home and doing well
They ended up doing the scope around 8:30pm and finished an hour later. They placed another Foley catheter and this time it will be in for 2 weeks (until July 1st). We had to stay until 11pm or so to make sure he didn't have a reaction to the anesthesia, which he didn't. He was crying right after and wanted fed, as he didn't eat since 10am that morning.
Aaron in the Hospital
Aaron is back in Iowa City. His cathing is still problematic, so the Doctor will be using a scope to see why. He may get to leave tonight, but if he's not himself right away we may have to stay. Any new details I've brought my laptop and should be able to post.
Renewel of 'blogging'
I am thinking of starting up a journal again, if only to give updates on my son and life in general.
It's been a pretty interesting week.
Aaron has been having some difficulties. Seeing as this is my first entry I'll give some background information. Aaron was born February 5th, 2007 at 11:05am in Iowa City, Iowa. We delivered there as we found out at 25 weeks along that he has Spina Bifida. Basically his spine did not close properly at birth and some of the spinal tissue was damaged, causing him to have limited feeling and movement from the waist down.
